Role Highlights: This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced WHS professional to step into a specialist role.
You’ll work autonomously, oversee WHS coordinators at other sites, and drive safety initiatives across the Australian business.

Role Overview

As the WHS Specialist, you play a critical role in the company’s ongoing commitment to WHS. You’ll review and enhance safety management systems, policies, and procedures, implementing new programs to elevate the safety standards. Collaboration with operational leaders and managers will be key to ensuring excellence in safety practices.

You’ll oversee WHS in an office, warehouse, manufacturing, and distribution environment

Some of your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting internal safety audits and liaising with external auditors
  • Delivering health & safety training sessions
  • Reviewing and refining safety management systems
  • Driving ISO 45001 certification
  • Initiating and implementing improvements across policies and procedures
  • Collaborating with other divisions/offices & senior leaders on safety requirements
  • Ensuring WHS and regulatory compliance
  • Conducting and overseeing incident investigations
  • Liaising with the RTW Coordinator
  • Guiding WHS Coordinators at other sites

Candidate Profile 

You’re proactive, organized, and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills and a passion for workplace safety. You understand WHS regulations and best practices, especially in manufacturing, chemical, or industrial settings. 

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Cert IV in WHS or equivalent
  • Proven experience in a similar WHS/Safety role
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and safety management systems
  • Experience with the storage and transport of dangerous goods (DG)
  • Strong communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization
  • A proactive and autonomous work style, eager to grow with the business
