Salary:  $40-$45 ph + Daily OT + Shift Loading + Super (Circa $110k++ Package)
Role Highlights:  Take the next step in your production career, as the Afternoon Shift Supervisor, you will play a critical role in the overall success of the business, with full training and ongoing career development. 

Role Overview

Due to growth, this steel manufacturer is looking for an experienced people-focused team leader/supervisor to join them, leading the afternoon shift. 

You will receive full training on the day shift for up to 3 months before you move over to the afternoon shift, where some of your key duties, and where you can make the most impact include:

  • Supporting the Warehouse Manager & Day Shift supervisor with planning, organizing, and overseeing production operations.
  • Ensuring a safe and efficient work environment: Conducting safety checks, monitoring equipment/machines, and enforcing safety procedures.
  • Leading and motivating a team: Providing clear instructions, delegating tasks, assisting when needed and fostering a positive work atmosphere.
  • Maintaining optimal workflow: Monitoring production lines, ensuring proper space utilization, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Contributing to a strong company culture: Promoting teamwork, open communication, and a commitment to quality.

Candidate Profile 

You have experience with rebar and leading teams and are looking for a role with a company that will train you, give you long-term career opportunities, and provide a friendly, inclusive and safe working environment where you can lead your team, make a difference, and support the wider business as they continue to grow.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience with reinforced steel/rebar manufacturing (schnell machines on-site)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, lead and empower a diverse team (approx. 20-25)
  • Driver’s licence (public transport is not available)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A problem-solver with a proactive approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can prioritize effectively under pressure.
  • Team player, who can lead from the front, be hands-on when needed, and work with the wider business on improvements and best practices
