Role Highlights:
Become an integral part of a nationally recognised manufacturing team that values precision and growth. As an Accountant, you'll be involved in critical month-end processes, fixed asset management, and financial statement preparation, supporting both the Finance Manager and CFO.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role involves managing end-to-end financial tasks, including month-end accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. You'll also assist with year-end audits and contribute to financial process improvements by updating SOPs. Collaboration with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Inventory teams will be key to ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
• Execute month-end processes, including accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and end-of-month journals
• Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register
• Process and manage accounts for related entities, and prepare monthly financial statements
• Assist in preparing for year-end audits
• Calculate supplier rebates and determine landed costs for imports
• Support the Finance Manager and CFO with various tasks
• Work closely with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Inventory teams
• Help update and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the finance department
• Perform additional tasks as required
Candidate Profile:
As an ideal candidate you will bring 3-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role and hold a relevant degree in Finance or Accounting, whether qualified or near qualified. You should possess strong communication skills, extensive experience with large ERP systems, and excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel. A keen attention to detail is essential, along with the ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
