Role Overview

Imagine leading quality initiatives at a thriving FMCG manufacturing facility. You'll have the opportunity to drive positive change, optimize processes, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

This is your chance to make a real difference. You'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of the quality operations. You'll work closely with the onsite production team (20-30) reporting to the Site Manager with support from the wider business & Head of Quality & Safety to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and achieve quality objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality and food safety strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Design, implement, and maintain the Quality Assurance System and documentation.
  • Lead the execution, design, implementation, and management of hygiene, sanitation, and GMP programs.
  • Identify and address quality and safety issues through regular audits and inspections.
  • Conduct statistical analysis and prepare reports.
  • Liaise with customers, auditors, and external parties as required.
  • Provide training, direction, support, and resources to your team.
  • Investigate and respond to customer complaints.
  • Be an active member of the Site Management Team, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable operations.

Candidate Profile 

You are a highly motivated and experienced Quality Professional with a passion for ensuring excellence in manufacturing operations. You'll have a strong background in quality assurance/control within the FMCG industry, with a focus on food safety standards and systems.  You are looking for a lead role, within a good team and culture where you can drive high quality standards 

We're looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in quality within the FMCG manufacturing industry
  • Qualifications in; Auditing, Food Science, Food Technology or related fields highly regarded
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, standards such as HACCP and SQF as well as associated compliance documentation 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflict.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A commitment to fostering a culture of quality and safety within the team.
