Role Overview

Reporting to the Development Manager, this role will play a critical part in the ongoing enhancement and delivery of an API Integration platform which will go live over the coming months. Daily tasks will include the development of APIs and the secure integration of internal and external endpoints as per project goals and industry best practices. This role offers a dynamic environment where creativity and problem-solving skills are valued, providing ample opportunities for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enhancements to Azure API Management platform
  • Develop and integrate new APIs for internal and external endpoints
  • Update design artifacts and implement proposed changes
  • Maintain existing applications and adhere to governance standards
  • Liaise with testing, development, and operations teams
  • Ensure integration of internal and external systems using Web services and REST APIs
  • Work in the Atlassian suite of products; JIRA and Confluence

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with a proven track record in Azure API development, Azure DevOps, .NET and C#. You will possess a deep understanding of API design principles, along with hands-on experience with Azure API Management and authentication protocols such as OAuth2 and OpenID. Strong familiarity with Git, CI/CD systems, and the software development life cycle (SDLC) is essential for success in this role to ensure the seamless integration of development processes and maximizes efficiency.

Beyond technical proficiency, effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset are critical for this role. You must be adept at working seamlessly within cross-functional teams, articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
