Perfect for an ambitious New Graduate in the Science/ Health Food profession looking to grow and use your skills to benefit and improve specifically fermentation solutions for food, drink etc. You will either have attained a Masters or Bachelor's of Science or Food Technology to qualify for this role. (attaining a master's is preferred)

Role Overview
As the Fermentation Technologist, you will be reporting to the Head Team Leader, and will be responsible in preparing multiple media rooms for chemical usage and sample fermentation processes. You will be supporting the Technicians, but not limited to assisting in general housekeeping of basic lab equipment maintenance, data entry, lab management, coordinating with departments for shared equipment, inventory management and answering all enquires from customers and suppliers in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setup and operation of fermentation equipment according to SOPs
• Preparation of media per SOPs
• Sterilisation of media and associated hardware per SOPs
• Following all fermintation procedures
• Clear and timely communication to all key stakeholders
• Processing and preparation of samples and testing when required
• Routine maintenance of other laboratory equipment and general housekeeping
• Assist in inventory management and stocktaking
  
  

Candidate Profile:
You have attained a Bachelor of Science or Certificate of Science, Food Science and/ or Technology or equivalent and are interested growing and developing with a large global leader. This is an entry level role where you will demonstrate the ability to follow instructions, attaining hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, including experience in aseptic technique (highly desirable). You will also be able to demonstrate clear organisational skills, paired with impeccable verbal, written and interpersonal skills. You are sound being tech savvy and have the proven ability to be a highly motivated team player.
