Role Overview
Reporting into the Board of Directors, this is a unique opportunity to design and execute on a strategy to build and grow the NSW arm of an Australian-owned brokerage. Working as part of a high-profile local leadership team, you will have the opportunity to drive the growth of new office(s) whilst leading production with significant investment and support.
You will be responsible for designing which market segments to target, building a local team of Account Managers and Support staff, whilst leveraging a long-standing brand with over 30 years of track record in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Board of Directors to design, implement and execute on a strategy to grow the business into the NSW region
- Lead production in acquiring new clients, retaining existing and leveraging cross-selling opportunities through peers in other states
- Build and staff a new office through hiring, developing and securing a high quality team of broking and servicing expertise
- Work closely with peers leading adjacent product lines to ensure alignment of strategy and culture
- Build on a purposeful and ethical brand to position it correctly in the NSW market
Candidate Profile
You are a leader in the NSW Commercial Broker market and have a track record of production, strategy and leadership.
You will be:
- A broking professional with over 10 years’ experience in Account Leadership
- Well networked across the Insurer landscape with the ability to negotiate terms and get deals completed
- A proven leader with the track record of supporting the growth of Insurance Broking professionals and retaining good people
- Strategically minded with the ability to identify market segments and opportunities geared for growth
- Energetic, demonstrating a clear drive and passion for the industry
