Role Overview
As the Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a crucial role in payment processing and accounting management. You will be responsible for processing high-volume invoices daily, and end-to-end Accounts Payable processing. The role involves providing payment forecast in weekly cash flow, assisting with general ledger reconciliations and the month-end close. 

This role would suit someone who is looking for a dynamic and autonomous role, who shows strong initiatives and has a hands-on approach to their work. You will be contributing to the business’s financial health, adding value through your role.

Responsibilities 

  • Register all invoices and coordinate with staff to obtain necessary approvals.
  • Code overhead invoices for Senior Accountant's review.
  • Prepare creditor payments and ensure accuracy.
  • Set up new creditor accounts for Finance Manager's review.
  • Generate creditor trial balance (aged creditors) reports for cash flow reporting.
  • Process credit card transactions efficiently.
  • Monitor and manage the accounts email inbox.
  • Perform general ledger profit and loss reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of ad hoc reports and respond to management requests.

Candidate Profile 
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in full-function AP. You are highly proactive in your thinking, wishing to be in a role that contributes to the driving performance for a business. The successful candidate will have ERP accounting experience and have worked across multiple entities. With exceptional communication skills that you leverage in shaping positive working relationships, you are an open and transparent individual. A passion for continuous improvement and taking things to the next level is at the core of who you are. Your time management skills are essential in this high-volume transactional role.
