Responsibilities
Reporting to Payroll Supervisor, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll within your allocated division. You’ll work in a team and will have support from highly experienced colleagues.
- Manage the full payroll process for employees on weekly, fortnightly, and monthly schedules.
- Keep employee records up to date, covering onboarding, offboarding, and salary changes.
- Analyse and implement relevant awards, agreements, and legal requirements.
- Administer superannuation, PAYG, and other mandatory contributions.
- Perform reconciliations for payroll data and reports.
- Support compliance reporting and assist in audit activities.
- Ensure salary payments and employment conditions align with contracts, Enterprise Agreements, and Awards across various locations.
- Protect confidentiality and adhere to privacy laws, organisational policies, standards, procedures, and applicable legislation.
- Make necessary updates to the payroll system when new Enterprise Agreements are ratified by Fair Work.
- Deliver high-quality customer service, uphold organisational values, and provide advice in line with company guidelines.
- Take part in initiatives to enhance processes and improve efficiencies.
- Work closely with employees and internal teams to resolve payroll-related inquiries.
Candidate Profile
You’ll be a highly experienced Payroll Officer with end-to-end exposure. You’ll be confident in a multi award environment and will be able to work autonomously. You’ll have excellent problem-solving skills and will ideally have worked with a business that has experienced a change in payroll systems and had some complexities within its industrial instruments. You’ll be responsible & reliable with excellent communication skills allowing you to liaise with a range of stakeholders and employees in an appropriate manner. Applicant who enjoy a straight forward processing role will be considered, as will those with aspirations to progress and be involved in project work.
