Role Overview
As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing accounts payable and receivable processes, assisting with month-end procedures, and providing support in forecasting and financial reporting. Working closely with senior leadership, you will contribute to financial decision-making while ensuring smooth operations and compliance with accounting standards. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior team members and make valuable improvements to financial processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable and Receivable, including payment approvals, invoicing, and receipts.
  • Reconcile vendor and customer accounts, assisting with month-end processes and report preparation.
  • Assist with weekly cash flow forecasts and monitor AP/AR activities to ensure timely reporting.
  • Identify and implement improvements in AP and AR processes for efficiency.
  • Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and provide mentorship to junior staff.

Candidate Profile
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • A degree in Accounting or Finance (or nearing completion) and pursuing CPA/CA qualification.
  • 3-5 years' experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable, including month-end processes and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g., XERO).
  • Strong analytical, time management, and communication skills.
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset with a passion for process improvement.
  • An ability to collaborate with teams and build strong relationships across the business.
