Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Analyse pricing, customer behaviour, and product mix to support strategic business case development.
• Partner with senior leaders and operational teams to influence decision-making and improve profitability across the organisation.
• Monitor market activity and competitor trends to inform pricing, product, and customer engagement strategies.
• Identify industry changes, assessing their impact on business objectives and strategic direction.
• Deliver actionable insights by identifying key risks and opportunities, using both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Build and maintain automated dashboards (e.g. PowerBI) to visualise financial and non-financial metrics across the business.
• Develop financial models, performance benchmarks, and business indicators to support board reporting and strategic initiatives.
• Conduct margin analysis and assist in automating reporting on key revenue and cost drivers.
• Identify and contribute to process improvements across finance systems and reporting tools.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for this Commercial Analyst role will have a strong background in commercial analysis, business partnering, and decision support, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.

They must be skilled in financial modelling, data analysis, and be proficient in Excel as well as utilizing tools like PowerBI and TM1 to deliver actionable insights.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential for presenting complex financial information to senior leadership. The successful candidate will have a keen understanding of market trends, competitor analysis, and regulatory impacts, and will play a key role in driving profitability, efficiency, and business transformation initiatives.

A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, along with CPA/CA qualifications or equivalent experience, is highly desired.
