Job Description

Location: Kilcoy, QLD  (2hrs north/west from Brisbane)
Salary:  $160k - $180k + Super + Bonus (Negotiable)
Role Highlights:  This is your opportunity to take the reins of a respected regional manufacturing site. With a well-established team, stable production environment, and strong leadership support, you’ll step in as the new Site Manager and help guide the next chapter of growth and transformation

Role Overview

This is a critical, site-based leadership role with full accountability for the whole site, including manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and bulk yard operations.

You’ll be supported by a capable team of department heads and have direct access to both the Site MD and the wider national operations group.
The previous Site Manager leaves behind a solid platform - what we need now is a strong, confident people leader who can build on that, manage change, and align the site with the group’s broader strategic direction.

This is a hands-on role where leadership matters more than fancy systems knowledge. You’ll spend time on the floor, work cross-functionally, and empower your team through strong, down-to-earth leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead site operations across production, warehousing, logistics and bulk materials
  • Empower and support your team of 40+, including 3 direct reports
  • Drive safety, quality, efficiency and cost initiatives aligned to group goals
  • Build trust across long-tenured teams while introducing new processes and structure
  • Collaborate with national leadership and participate in broader group projects
  • Identify improvement opportunities in site performance, systems and culture
  • Work closely with planning, engineering, technical, and R&D teams

Candidate Profile

You’ve led operational teams in fast-moving manufacturing or logistics environments - ideally regional, where resources are tight, and people are everything.
You understand equipment, production lines, scheduling and what makes a plant run well. But more importantly, you know how to lead from the front.
This role suits a confident, humble and curious leader - someone comfortable building trust with long-standing team members, while driving operational and cultural change.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience managing a site or large team in manufacturing/logistics
  • Hands-on, solutions-focused leadership style
  • Experience with plant or production line environments (FMCG ideal)
  • Strong safety, quality and continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent communication – up, down and across
  • Ability to interpret data, manage costs, and make informed decisions
  • Systems and ERP exposure – we’ll train you

Culture & Benefits

You’ll be joining a respected, values-led manufacturing business with an outstanding reputation in its industry. Producing a range of well-known agricultural products you see on retailer shelves around the country.
This is a flagship site, with an incredible brand presence, it’s also one of the most productive plants across the APAC business and is ready for its next phase of development.
Backed by national resources, you’ll get all the support you need to succeed - with the autonomy to lead your team, shape culture and implement change.

  • Full-time permanent role
  • Be part of a high-quality brand with decades of heritage and community recognition
  • 5 days on-site, Monday - Friday, no weekends or nights
  • National development & leadership pathways
  • Visit all other sites, liaise with other Site Managers, leaders and the wider business
  • Genuine leadership autonomy and close support from group leadership
  • Salary package: $160k – $180k + Super + Bonus (Negotiable)
  • Location: Kilcoy (2hrs north/west of Brisbane or 1hr south/west of the sunshine coast)

Relocation assistance considered for the right candidate, however being a small regional town, accommodation can be very limited. This would suit someone who is able to commute to the site 5 days a week
