The Opportunity
Puretec is a leading privately-owned manufacturer and distributor of water filtration products, with a footprint across Australia and New Zealand. Following a period of significant growth, the business is now seeking a driven Management Accountant to embed a modern management accounting function. Seeking an individual that partners with the business, delivers insight, and enables better decision-making.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a newly created role, where you’ll work closely with the CFO and senior stakeholders to elevate finance from a compliance function to a true strategic partner.
Role Overview
Reporting to the CFO, you’ll lead the creation and implementation of scalable management reporting, support project-level costing, and partner across departments to drive business performance. This role is pivotal to improving cost centre accountability, unlocking operational visibility, and delivering commercial insights across the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver structured monthly management reporting and cost centre analysis
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis across departments and projects
- Partner with supply chain and operations to improve costing frameworks and reporting accuracy
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Sales, Operations, R&D, Marketing, and Customer Care
- Support project-based finance work - e.g., rebate structures, landed cost tracking, and campaign costing
- Contribute to finance transformation by championing data integrity, systems usage (NetSuite), and BI tools
- Support the CFO in preparing executive dashboards and financial presentations
Candidate Profile
As an ideal candidate, you’re a hands-on Management Accountant who is ready to step up and lead change. You bring energy, initiative, and a desire to embed yourself in the business. You’re confident working cross-functionally, translating numbers into insight, and influencing decisions that drive performance.
Essential Skills & Experience
- CA or CPA qualified
- Strong background in management accounting and cost centre reporting
- Experience working within supply chain, manufacturing or project-based environments
- Advanced Excel and modelling skills; NetSuite and/or Salesforce experience highly regarded
- Proven ability to work with business stakeholders and provide commercial insight
- A mindset built on humility, curiosity, and collaboration
