Job Description

Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of Digital & Technology, this role is responsible for leading day to day IT operations across infrastructure, end user computing, service delivery and operational risk. The environment presents a genuine opportunity to bring greater structure, consistency and clarity across services, particularly in strengthening service stability, enhancing incident management practices and improving overall operational maturity. Working closely with both local stakeholders and a Singapore based group function, this role will play a key part in aligning ways of working and ensuring the technology environment reliably supports the business across a diverse, multi site footprint.

A key focus of the role is shaping a clear and scalable operating model across infrastructure and cyber. With responsibilities spanning both local and regional teams, there is an opportunity to define ownership, streamline collaboration and enhance governance across the function. By establishing clearer frameworks around service delivery, vendor engagement and accountability, this role will drive a more cohesive and efficient operating environment that balances local business needs with global strategy.

Beyond operational alignment, this role offers the opportunity to elevate both capability and engagement within the team. By introducing greater structure, strengthening communication and providing consistent leadership, the successful candidate will support a team through a period of evolution, building confidence, accountability and alignment. The result is a more resilient, well governed and future ready operations function, supported by a team that is engaged, capable and aligned to the broader direction of the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day to day IT operations across infrastructure, cloud, cyber and end user computing functions
  • Improve service reliability, operational maturity and incident management disciplines across the environment
  • Establish clearer ownership, governance and working rhythms between local and regional technology teams
  • Design and execute a practical operating model and transition roadmap across infrastructure and cyber services
  • Manage vendors, commercial relationships, contract renewals and service performance to deliver better outcomes
  • Assess the right balance between internal capability and managed services across the technology function
  • Identify and reduce key person dependencies, single points of failure and broader operational risks
  • Support business continuity, audit readiness, asset management and alignment to governance standards
  • Lead and uplift a small, technically focused team through change, building stronger accountability and communication
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across local business units and regional technology leadership to drive alignment
  • Provide oversight across core enterprise technology dependencies, including environments supporting major business platforms such as SAP and CRM
  • Introduce stronger service metrics, reporting standards, escalation paths and communication protocols

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is an experienced IT leader with a broad background across infrastructure operations, cloud, cyber and end user computing, combined with strong vendor and commercial capability. They will have operated successfully in an Asian or global matrix environment and understand how to navigate hierarchical structures while influencing both local and regional stakeholders. This person brings strong operational leadership experience and the ability to lift service delivery within complex, evolving environments.

They will also bring experience shaping or embedding operating models, particularly where responsibilities have transitioned between local, regional or global teams. A strong understanding of vendor strategy, contract negotiation and third party management is essential, along with the ability to assess and implement the right balance between in house capability and managed services. Exposure to enterprise environments supporting platforms such as SAP will be highly regarded, particularly from an infrastructure and dependency perspective.

Equally important is leadership style. This role requires a calm, structured and highly people focused leader with strong emotional intelligence. Someone who can build trust within a long tenured team, improve communication and accountability, and guide individuals through change without creating resistance. The ability to simplify complexity, communicate clearly across technical and business stakeholders, and bring a steady, confident presence in an ambiguous environment will be critical to success.

Company, Culture & Benefits

This opportunity sits within a well established, highly regarded enterprise operating across a complex, multi site footprint with a globally connected technology structure. The environment offers the stability of a mature business combined with the challenge of a meaningful transformation agenda. It will suit a leader who enjoys improving how teams operate, bringing clarity to complexity and partnering across both local and regional stakeholders to build a stronger future state.

  • High visibility role with genuine influence across operations, vendors and future state design
  • Hybrid working model with parking and access to on site fitness facilities
  • Strong opportunity to deliver meaningful outcomes in a business critical transformation period
