Role Overview
Reporting into the FP&A Manager, this role will see you supporting core financial processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and performance reporting. You will work closely with various business units to deliver insights across revenue, margins, and operational performance, while assisting with budgeting and forecasting cycles. On a day-to-day basis, you will be involved in analysing financial data, maintaining reporting packs, and investigating variances to support accurate decision-making.
This role is ideal for someone looking to deepen their commercial acumen and move closer to the business. You will play a key role in improving reporting processes, identifying trends, and supporting strategic initiatives. With exposure to sales, operations, and leadership teams, this position offers a strong platform to grow within FP&A.
Responsibilities
• Support month-end close, including reconciliations, reporting and analysis
• Deliver variance analysis across revenue, margins and operational performance
• Analyse sales data and backlog reporting, identifying and investigating discrepancies
• Maintain and enhance monthly reporting packs for leadership review
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and rolling forecasts
• Support sales reporting including rebates and performance tracking
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate reporting processes (Excel / Power BI)
Candidate Profile
You are degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, and bring at least 3 years of experience in an analytical finance role. You are confident working with large datasets and have strong Excel skills, with exposure to Power BI or similar tools highly regarded.
You are naturally curious, enjoy understanding the drivers behind financial results, and are comfortable engaging with stakeholders across the business. Experience within a manufacturing or product-based environment will be highly advantageous, particularly exposure to costing, inventory or COGS. A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership will set you apart.
