Role Overview

Supporting the Group FC and CFO of a complex Manufacturing business, this role will be responsible for supporting the implementation of a new ERP system (Sage X3) and subsequently transition to be the “system owner”.

Post implementation you will be ensure data accuracy, maintenance, compliance with controls and aim to streamline processes.

Pre- Implementation:

• Support the transition of financial and operational processes to Sage X3 by acting as a conduit between the Finance team, the Operations team, the in-house IT team and external consulting firm.
• Support in the implementation and configuration of Sage X3 from the viewpoint of Chart of Accounts, Dimension/Segmentation and financial processes
• User acceptance testing and system integration testing as directed
• Development and implementation of ERP user guides and training
• Lead development of financial reporting modules on the new ERP

Post-Implementation:

• Serve as a subject matter expert on Sage X3, offering guidance and training to end-users to maximise application functionality and optimise their workflow
• Management and maintenance of ERP master data and hierarchies, including stewardship of the Chart of Accounts and Dimension data
• Build and maintain Sage reporting suite to suit the business needs
• Monitoring non-Sage system integrations (such as automatic feed of data from other systems)
• Drive continuous improvement in financial and system processes
• Provide ongoing functional support and training to end-users

Candidate Profile

This role will suit a solid Systems Accountant who has exposure to Sage X3, ideally with both pre and post implementation experience. Alternate systems will be considered, however strong preference will be given to those with demonstrated Sage X3 experience.

With clear communication skills you will shape positive working relationships with IT, Finance and external consultants.

A passion for continuous improvement in systems and reporting is desired.
