Job Description

Hourly Rate: $60 per hour - $65 per hour + Super

Role Highlights:
Rare opportunity to join a globally recognised consumer products business during a significant period of operational and systems transformation. Partner directly with manufacturing leadership while taking ownership of inventory accounting, cost analysis, and month-end reporting. This role offers strong exposure to ERP implementation projects, operational finance, and process improvement initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this Management Accountant role will support the manufacturing operations of a large-scale consumer products business. You will take ownership of month-end close activities, inventory reconciliations, costing analysis, stock movements, and manufacturing reporting while partnering closely with operational stakeholders across the production facility. This is a highly visible role requiring both strong technical accounting capability and commercial acumen.

Beyond the core accounting responsibilities, you will play a key role in driving process improvements and supporting major finance transformation projects, including ERP migration and automation initiatives. You will work closely with both finance and operational teams to ensure accurate reporting, meaningful commercial insights, and continuous improvement across financial processes and controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end close process across manufacturing operations, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting
• Prepare inventory accounting, stock valuations, cost of goods sold analysis, and intercompany reconciliations
• Partner closely with operational leaders to provide financial analysis and commercial support
• Maintain product costing across raw materials, packaging, consumables, and finished goods
• Investigate inventory variances, stock discrepancies, and wastage reporting across manufacturing operations
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes
• Assist with ERP implementation activities and finance systems improvements
• Build and maintain accurate GL mappings and manufacturing-related chart of accounts structures
• Support payroll accounting processes, accruals, and coding reviews
• Deliver insightful commentary and analysis to support operational decision-making
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and automate manual finance processes
• Work collaboratively across finance, operations, and supply chain functions

Candidate Profile

You are a technically strong and commercially minded accounting professional with prior experience within manufacturing, FMCG, supply chain, or inventory-driven environments. You are naturally curious, detail-oriented, and enjoy investigating discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy. Ideally, CA or CPA qualified (or working towards completion), you bring strong experience across inventory accounting, costing, reconciliations, and management reporting.

You are comfortable operating in a changing environment and thrive when partnering with operational stakeholders outside of finance. Your communication skills allow you to simplify complex financial information for non-finance teams, while your proactive mindset and problem-solving ability enable you to contribute beyond the numbers. Exposure to ERP migrations or systems implementations will be highly regarded.

Company, Culture & Benefits

This globally recognised consumer products business has built a strong reputation through innovation, sustainability, and a people-first culture. Operating across multiple international markets, the organisation continues to invest heavily in systems, operational improvements, and employee wellbeing. The finance team offers a collaborative environment where individuals are encouraged to contribute ideas, challenge processes, and make a genuine commercial impact.

• Hybrid working flexibility and strong work-life balance
• Exposure to large-scale ERP and transformation projects
• Product discounts, bonus incentives, and ongoing career development opportunities
