Role Overview

This position sits within a dynamic ANZ Commercial Finance function responsible for driving financial performance across marketing investment, fixed costs and broader planning and analysis activities. Regularly, you will be deeply involved in month-end reporting cycles, forecasting updates, and budget tracking, while working closely with marketing and commercial teams to ensure spend is controlled and aligned to business objectives. You will also support balance sheet integrity through reconciliations and purchase order oversight.

In addition, the role plays a key part in shaping financial decision-making across ANZ by delivering meaningful analysis, insights and reporting. You will be responsible for translating complex financial data into clear recommendations that support investment decisions, cost optimisation and business performance improvement. This is a highly visible role requiring agility across systems, strong analytical capability and the confidence to partner with senior stakeholders across multiple geographies.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial business partnering across ANZ Marketing, ensuring effective tracking and control of marketing spend
• Own month-end close activities and performance reporting in collaboration with regional finance teams
• Manage marketing-related balance sheet reconciliations including PO tracking and governance
• Lead forecasting, budgeting and planning cycles for marketing investment and commercial fixed costs
• Deliver ROI analysis and insights to support marketing investment decisions and optimisation opportunities
• Monitor and manage fixed cost base, identifying cost efficiencies and supporting zero-based budgeting initiatives
• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly and quarterly financial reporting using systems such as SAP and Power BI
• Support cross-functional stakeholders with financial analysis to enable informed commercial decision-making
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting, forecasting accuracy and financial processes
• Contribute to business case development for investment opportunities and cost initiatives

Candidate Profile

You are a commercially minded finance professional with strong analytical capability and experience in FP&A, commercial finance or business partnering roles. You are confident working with large volumes of data and translating financial insights into clear, actionable recommendations that support business performance. Exposure to FMCG or similarly complex, fast-paced environments will be highly advantageous.

You are adaptable and comfortable working across multiple systems and stakeholders in a matrix structure. You bring strong communication skills and the ability to influence across finance and non-finance teams. A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to operate at pace and with accuracy will be key to success in this role.
