Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Team Leader, as the Freight Administrator, you will be pivotal in supporting the International and Domestic Freight Resolution team during a high-demand period. Your outstanding administration skills, proactive mindset, and strong attention to detail will be key drivers of your success in this impactful 8–9 month contract role.
This Freight Administrator will take charge of managing complex claims, swiftly investigating and resolving issues, ensuring rigorous quality assurance, and coordinating critical shipments. Your ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders will be essential in delivering seamless operations. Additionally, you will lead efforts in managing monthly carrier freight claims and tackling various administrative duties, all while driving operational excellence and efficiency within the team.
Responsibilities
• Monitor and coordinate the movement of shipments, ensuring all deliveries are on time and any issues are promptly addressed
• Oversee shipment processes, investigate delays or discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution to keep operations running smoothly
• Review and settle freight invoices, maintaining accurate logs through the SAP Vendor Invoice Management System
• Ensure all invoices are processed accurately and within timelines
• Assist in investigating freight-related claims, raising claims when necessary, and working with carriers and vendors to resolve issues efficiently
• Support the preparation and reconciliation of monthly carrier freight statements, ensuring accuracy in billing and identifying any discrepancies
• Assist with identifying, investigating, and resolving discrepancies in freight deliveries, shipments, and invoicing to maintain smooth operations
• Accurately input and maintain freight-related data into SAP, ensuring consistency and compliance with internal processes and reporting requirements
• Assist with various administrative tasks, including document preparation, reporting, and communication with stakeholders to support the team’s overall objectives
• Collaborate with the team, ensuring efficient workflows and a high standard of service delivery in all aspects of freight administration
Candidate Profile
You are a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual, eager to take on a key role in managing freight operations and ensuring seamless logistics. With a strong background in international and domestic freight or logistics, you thrive in fast-paced environments and are skilled at juggling multiple priorities. You possess exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and excel at building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ideally, you come from a logistics or supply chain background, where you've developed a deep understanding of freight management, invoicing, and claims resolution. You are proactive, solutions-driven, and able to navigate challenges to deliver efficient results. A natural problem-solver, you are committed to driving process improvements and maintaining high standards of operational excellence. Your ability to collaborate with various teams and your adaptability will ensure your success in this critical administrative role.
