Salary: $150k - $180k + Super (Negotiable)

Role Overview
The General Manager has been wearing two hats for too long. That’s where you come in. You’ll take over full responsibility for Production and Warehouse operations, with a growing and loyal team who are hungry for guidance and structure.
The role is challenging – the business is going through substantial growth and change, there are systems still being built, processes that need to be improved - but the rewards are significant.
You’ll have direct exposure to the senior leadership team and the chance to help shape the future of a business that genuinely backs its people.
- Oversee machine operations, production scheduling, warehousing, logistics, and purchasing
- Work closely with supervisors to develop team capability and drive continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with QHSE standards and maintain product quality
- Oversee / Lead maintenance planning and machine optimisation (Schnell, MEP, or similar)
- Coach and mentor your team and ensure safety and performance metrics are met
- Manage inbound materials and transport logistics (including in-house fleet)
- Develop and provide regular operational reporting to the GM
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth
Candidate Profile
We’re looking for a steel manufacturing leader with grit and people smarts. You know what it’s like to work in reinforced steel manufacturing plant. You’ve been around machinery, understand operational bottlenecks, and thrive in dynamic environments.
You lead by example, you know how to get buy-in, and you’ve got the sleeves-up mindset it takes to earn the respect of the team and drive results.
You’ll need:
- Steel/Rebar Industry experience - knowledge of industry machinery (e.g. rolling / bending machines, Schnell, MEP systems)
- Demonstrated manufacturing leadership experience
- Strong people leadership skills - developing, coaching, and managing diverse teams
- Experience in logistics, inventory, stock control and transport
- Ability to work closely with stakeholders and lead change in a fast-moving environment
- Strong focus on continuous improvement, optimisation, and leading by example
