Role Highlights: Lead the Accounts Receivable function within a well-established, fast-moving organisation. With support from the Treasury Manager, you will take ownership of AR operations, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and play a key role in maintaining the company’s strong financial position.
Role Overview
As a Senior Accounts Receivable Officer, you will ensure the smooth running of day-to-day AR operations, including invoicing, reconciliations, receipting (foreign and domestic), reporting, and team supervision. This role offers an exciting mix of operational responsibility and the opportunity to contribute strategically through process improvements and systems optimisation. You'll also play a key role in maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end customer invoicing processes with accuracy and timeliness
- Conduct credit control activities to ensure timely payments and minimise risk
- Perform customer account reconciliations to maintain accurate records
- Process customer receipts, including both domestic and foreign transactions
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue account
- Prepare and maintain debtor reports and other miscellaneous financial reporting
- Oversee daily operations of the Accounts Receivable team, ensuring workflow efficiency
- Provide hands-on support and guidance to junior team members and contractors
- Identify and implement opportunities for process and system improvements
- Contribute to ad hoc financial tasks as required by the Treasury Manager and broader finance team
Candidate Profile
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- A tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance, and ideally working towards or completed CPA/CA
- Demonstrated experience in Accounts Receivable in a high-volume environment
- Leadership or supervisory experience within a finance function
- Technical skills in Excel and exposure to ERP systems
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and time management skills
- A proactive and resilient approach, able to work under pressure and prioritise effectively
