Salary Package: $35ph-$45ph + Super
Role Highlights:
A leading organisation in its industry is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their high-performing team. Supporting over 3000 employees across multiple payroll cycles, this role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment with exposure to various awards and superannuation arrangements.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services while ensuring a high level of customer service to internal stakeholders. You will support the payroll function during a period of business consolidation, managing end-to-end processes and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Processing weekly and/or fortnightly payroll runs in Preceda
- Accurately calculating and processing adjustments, terminations, redundancies, and bonus/commission payments
- Setting up new employees, processing casual timesheets, and managing leave reconciliations
- Preparing payroll data using Excel and ensuring data integrity
- Downloading and actioning error logs, escalating issues where needed
- Managing end-of-pay processes including GL coding and superannuation reconciliations
- Collaborating with HR and Finance teams to improve payroll systems and processes
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee data in the payroll system
Candidate Profile:
You are a detail-oriented and customer-focused payroll professional who enjoys working in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
To be successful, you will have:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience processing payroll in a large business environment
- Strong understanding of payroll systems (Preceda and SuccessFactors experience desirable)
- Sound knowledge of payroll-related legislation, including PAYG, Superannuation, and Payroll Tax
- Familiarity with employment awards, NES, and enterprise agreements
- Experience with salary packaging, novated leases, and different superannuation arrangements
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
