Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Analyst to join a recently acquired business who are part of a global listed business, headquartered in the US. This role is being recruited as support to the Finance Business Partnering team, specifically as the key analyst to provide data driven trend analysis, highlight commercial opportunities or risks and deliver robust reporting and insights to the business. Where the client is looking to achieve value in this hire is through utilisation of BI tools and advanced level MS Excel, alongside a positive attitude towards transformation and continuous improvement, alongside a commercial mindset.  

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and improving existing reporting through use of MS Excel and Power BI
• Driving margin improvement opportunities
• Stakeholder Management
• Delivering accurate reporting and Commercial Analytics
• Leveraging systems to automate and streamline processes

Candidate Profile

This role is a brilliant opportunity for a candidate with exposure to Commercial, Financial or Data Analysis who is looking to push their career forward in a positively changing business. An advanced level of MS Excel and exposure to BI reporting is critical for this role. The ideal candidate will be qualified (CA/CPA/CIMA/ACCA), however this is not essential for the role if the aligned experience can be demonstrated.

It is desired for this role that the candidate will have excellent listening and communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds. Candidates who have worked with multiple sources of data are encouraged to apply and those currently working within a “data heavy” environment such as logistics, retail, business services or FMCG will be looked at favourably.

As a recent acquisition by a global products business, there is likely to be a period of transitioning to new reporting structures, ERP integrations and initially some manual processes to work through.  

After this time, opportunities for a candidate to progress in this organisation, likely to be into a Senior Commercial Analyst, FP&A or Finance Business Partner role will be available, both internally and through the wider group which continues to demonstrate a solid growth trajectory.

A hybrid working pattern is available for this role, with it being office based for 3 days per week. The business offers parking on-site.
