Great opportunity for an immediately available Finance manager to join a family-owned business that is going through several transitions, including business improvements when it comes to processes, Reporting and projects. The business has a few plans for a few key acquisitions, and this person will be a key driver for these integrations.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will take a leadership position across several high-impact initiatives. You will support the CFO in delivering key strategic projects, including process improvements, system enhancements, and preparing the budgets and forecasts for the upcoming financial year. A key part of the role will involve assisting with new acquisitions, providing financial analysis, due diligence support, and helping integrate newly acquired companies into existing finance processes.
You will also oversee lease accounting requirements and take ownership of BAU month-end activities to ensure accurate and timely reporting. This is a hands-on, visible role that will suit someone who enjoys variety, can work at pace, and wants to play an integral part in the company’s growth journey.
Responsibilities
- Partner directly with the CFO to deliver strategic projects, including process improvements, system enhancements, and budgeting for the upcoming financial year.
- Lead financial integration activities for new acquisitions, including analysis, due diligence support, and embedding consistent reporting and controls.
- Oversee month-end and lease accounting processes, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across multiple entities.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance operations, streamlining processes, enhancing reporting frameworks, and implementing stronger financial controls.
- Support business growth initiatives by providing insightful financial analysis, developing forecasting models, and contributing to project planning and execution.
Candidate Profile
You are a tech-savvy Finance professional with exceptional Excel skills and a solid understanding of core accounting principles. You have experience creating financial models that support decision-making and business planning, and you bring a genuine passion for automation and streamlining processes. Your background includes hands-on lease accounting, and you’re comfortable working in dynamic environments where you can optimise workflows, improve reporting, and introduce smarter ways of working. You’re proactive, curious, and always looking for opportunities to enhance efficiency through technology.
