Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join a global chemical manufacturing business based in Parramatta. This role sits within the group finance function and will play a key part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices.

The successful candidate will be organised, reliable, and capable of working in a structured, high-volume environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career within a large, international organisation.


Responsibilities

  • Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Match, batch and code invoices in line with company policies
  • Manage supplier queries and maintain strong relationships with vendors
  • Ensure invoices are approved and paid within agreed terms
  • Assist with supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate records within the accounts payable system
  • Support month-end processes related to accounts payable
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders across the business to ensure smooth processing
  • Assist with process improvements and ad hoc tasks within the AP function

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have experience in an Accounts Payable role within a high-volume environment. You will have strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Previous exposure to working within a larger or global business will be highly regarded. You will be comfortable using financial systems and have a basic to intermediate level of Excel.
