Role Highlights: Temporary Accounts Payable opportunity within a large and well-established organisation, supporting a high-performing finance team in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day Accounts Payable function across multiple business divisions, ensuring supplier invoices, payments and reconciliations are processed accurately and efficiently. This includes managing high-volume invoice processing, supplier queries, payment runs and maintaining accurate financial records within the ERP system. You will also assist with account reconciliations, month-end support activities and reporting requirements. Alongside core Accounts Payable responsibilities, you will work closely with internal stakeholders across finance and operations to ensure processes are completed efficiently and deadlines are met in a collaborative team environment with strong leadership support.
Responsibilities
- Process high-volume supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Manage supplier queries and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Prepare and assist with weekly and monthly payment runs
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate records
- Support month-end close activities and reporting requirements
- Maintain and update supplier information within the ERP system
- Assist with process improvements and workflow efficiencies
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across finance and operations
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- General accounts payable and administration duties
Candidate Profile
You are an experienced Accounts Payable Officer with a background working in high-volume environments. You have strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines. You are confident using Excel for reconciliations, reporting and data management, and have previous experience working with large ERP systems. Your strong communication skills and collaborative approach allow you to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders alike. You are proactive, reliable and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
