Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of Accounting, this Finance Manager will lead a team of accountants while driving process improvement initiatives and overseeing the successful delivery of month-end and statutory reporting across a complex, multi-entity environment. Balancing leadership with hands-on technical accounting, you will drive consistency across finance processes, strengthen financial controls and provide technical guidance to the wider accounting team.

This role is much more than BAU. You will be instrumental in delivering several high-impact transformation initiatives, including ERP optimisation, process improvement, balance sheet reconciliation standardisation, fixed asset process reviews and financial control enhancements. Working closely with senior finance leadership, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future finance function while establishing yourself as a Finance leader. 

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of accountants
• Drive finance process improvement initiatives across multiple business units
• Oversee the successful delivery of month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting
• Strengthen balance sheet reconciliation processes and improve financial controls
• Provide technical accounting guidance and act as an escalation point for complex accounting matters
• Lead projects focused on ERP optimisation and future finance systems enhancements
• Review and improve fixed asset processes and governance
• Support external audit requirements and year-end reporting
• Own and improve quarterly reporting processes for stakeholders
• Partner with Commercial Finance and operational leaders to improve reporting accuracy and business performance
• Support the business through a significant organisational transformation and finance integration
   

Candidate Profile
You are an experienced Finance Manager who enjoys leading people while driving meaningful business improvement. With a strong technical accounting foundation gained within a large and complex organisation, you have successfully delivered process improvement initiatives and thrive in environments where change creates opportunity. Your ability to balance operational delivery with project work allows you to improve both team performance and finance outcomes.
You are a confident communicator who builds credibility with stakeholders at all levels and enjoys coaching and developing high-performing teams. Experience with ERP implementations, finance transformation projects or strengthening financial controls will be highly regarded.
