Payroll Project Manager – Transformation and System Implementation

Role highlights: An exceptional opportunity to join a US-listed, global Retail | FMCG giant. Lead a significant Payroll system transformation and implementation. Act as the conduit between Finance, HR and IT to deliver this significant project. 2 year project from discovery to delivery. 

Role Overview
As the Project Payroll Manager you will lead the implementation of a new Payroll System for a large, global retailer. Throughout the process it may also become apparent the need to update or change the HRIS and workforce management system which this role will also lead. You will have foundational skills in payroll and/or HR and have pivoted your career to become a specialist in leading systems implementations and project management. 

The company is in early discovery phase so this project will work initially on identifying the best system and project lead its implementation right through to delivery.  
You will naturally have great project management and communication skills and be able to bring stakeholders from finance, payroll, HR and IT along on the journey. 

Responsibilities
•    Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of a payroll system implementation project, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
•    Collaborate with finance, payroll, HR and  IT teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop project plans and timelines.
•    Manage project resources, including budget, timeline, and scope, to deliver project.
•    Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues and minimize project disruptions.
•    Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, including status reports, milestones, and key performance indicators.
•    Facilitate meetings and workshops to drive decision-making and resolve project-related issues in a timely manner.

Candidate Profile
You have a foundation in payroll and/ or HR and have pivoted your career to become a specialist in project managing system implementations. You will have a track record of delivering complex payroll system implementations within deadline and budget. You will naturally have great project management and communication skills and be able to bring stakeholders from finance, payroll, HR and IT along on the journey.
