Role Overview:

Reporting into the Finance Manager, this Finance Officer will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end accounts payable and receivable tasks, including invoice processing, statement reconciliation, payment preparation, debt follow-up, and journal entries. It also involves managing credit card and bank statements, assisting with BAS and PRT lodgements, supporting payroll when necessary, and executing ad hoc duties as directed by higher management. Furthermore, it entails identifying and implementing process enhancements for improved team and business efficiency. Immediately available candidates are highly regarded. 


Responsibilities:

•    Managing end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
•    Establishing new creditor and debtor accounts.
•    Processing supplier invoices efficiently.
•    Reconciling financial statements accurately.
•    Preparing and executing payment runs.
•    Proactively following up on outstanding debts.
•    Handling journals and reconciliations proficiently.
•    Managing credit card statements effectively.
•    Conducting thorough bank reconciliations.
•    Providing support for BAS and PRT lodgements, aiding in store management accounting, offering backup assistance for payroll, executing ad hoc duties assigned by higher management, and contributing to the identification and implementation of process improvements for enhanced team and business efficiency. 

 

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate should have advanced computer skills in Excel, Outlook, and Xero, along with proactive, self-driven, and excellent communication abilities. They must thrive in both team and independent settings, possess strong attention to detail, and manage time effectively to meet deadlines. Problem-solving skills, professionalism, and the capacity to build rapport across the organization are crucial. While prior bookkeeping experience and Xero familiarity are beneficial, they're not required. This role offers the opportunity for ownership and work-life balance within a supportive team environment
