Responsibilities

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll and for ensuring all legislative requirements are accurately met in collaboration with People & Culture.

  • Review and verify timesheets and expense claims weekly
  • Accurately enter timesheet and payroll data into systems
  • Process all payroll and contractor payments correctly
  • Prepare payroll bank payment files for approval
  • Manage employee payroll deductions and salary sacrifice requests
  • Keep payroll systems updated and record changes promptly
  • Reconcile WorkCover, payroll tax, superannuation, and other statutory obligations
  • Maintain an accurate Contractor Agreements register
  • Prepare monthly and annual Single Touch Payroll (STP) submissions
  • Generate standard and ad hoc reports as needed
  • Securely maintain all employee and contractor records
  • Reconcile employee liabilities, including leave entitlements
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely submission of payroll information

Candidate Profile

You’ll be a highly experienced Payroll Officer with end-to-end exposure. You’ll be confident in a multi award environment and will be able to work autonomously. You’ll have excellent problem-solving skills and will ideally have worked with a business that has experienced a change in payroll systems. You’ll be responsible & reliable with excellent communication skills allowing you to liaise with a range of stakeholders and employees in an appropriate manner. Attention to detail is critical.
