Role Overview
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this role will see you involved in processing end-to-end payroll for a national workforce. You’ll be part of a close-knit payroll team ensuring timely and accurate payroll delivery, compliance with relevant legislation, and effective employee support. This role is well-suited to someone with some exposure to payroll or finance administration who is keen to step into a more established payroll environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and processing of weekly and fortnightly payrolls.
  • Ensure accuracy in timesheet and leave data entry.
  • Maintain employee records and respond to payroll-related queries.
  • Support payroll compliance including superannuation, PAYG, and awards/agreements.
  • Participate in monthly payroll reporting and reconciliations.
  • Help implement process improvements and assist with payroll system updates.

Candidate Profile
As an ideal candidate you are working in a payroll or finance support role and looking to take the next step. You’re confident with numbers, reliable with deadlines, and eager to learn in a structured environment. Ideally, you’ll have some knowledge of payroll fundamentals, but just as important is your positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to grow. Experience with systems like Chris21 or SAP is helpful but not essential, training is provided.
