Role Overview

In this role, you’ll be actively involved in the month-end analytics, including reviewing accruals and analysing financial performance. You’ll prepare commentary and reporting packs for senior leadership and contribute to ongoing management reporting and analysis. The role also involves working closely with various teams across the business to investigate cost variances, identify trends, and support decision-making. You’ll provide regular sales reporting and insights across different levels of the business, while also assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities as required.

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial forecasts and provide insights into trends and key performance drivers to support business improvement
  • Support long-range planning, monthly/quarterly forecasting, and annual budgeting processes
  • Design and construct detailed financial analytical reports utilising Excel and provide oversight of business performance metrics
  • Manipulate and interpret complex finance data sets to deliver clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders
  • Partner with business leaders to design and implement finance data models that support business solutions and overall objectives
  • Analyse actual performance against budgets and forecasts, delivering meaningful commercial insights
  • Develop and review executive presentations, highlighting actionable insights, risks, opportunities, and recommendations 
  • Use analytics to enable strategic, value-driven business decisions
  • Contribute to multiple projects, managing priorities and deliverables
  • Prepare reports on investigation findings and make recommendations aimed at improving business processes and operational efficiency

 

Candidate Profile

  • The ideal candidate for this role will have at least three years of experience in an FP&A analyst or commercial finance position, demonstrating a strong background in financial planning and analysis.
  • They will have worked within complex business environments such as FMCG, Supply chain, Hospitality or Retail.
  • They will possess a solid understanding of cost analysis and effective stakeholder management skills, supported by excellent communication abilities.
  • A CA/CPA qualification or an equivalent certification from a recognized international body is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Excel is mandatory, and experience with SAP is highly desirable.
