Job Description

Location: Western Sydney, NSW
Salary Package: $150k - $170k + Super + company benefits
Role Highlights:
Join a high-performing, national team in a thriving enterprise environment. This is a business-critical role in unlocking value through data and delivering measurable outcomes.

You’ll step into a purpose-driven role that links technical data projects to commercial outcomes, helping the team asses, track and measure contribution toward target. As the missing piece in a small, agile portfolio team, your work will bring focus, structure, and visibility to enterprise-level decision-making.

Role Overview

This role serves as the bridge between Data and Commercial design and implements robust reporting and portfolio tracking frameworks for a data and analytics environment, managing a large number of concurrent initiatives.

You’ll work closely with technical and business stakeholders to track costs, time allocation, and project returns. Your reporting will directly support executive visibility, decision-making, and resource prioritisation as the team delivers on a high-value transformation roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Establish reporting on project value, investment, and ROI

  • Build dashboards (e.g., Tableau) that track contributions toward commercial targets

  • Analyse and prioritise data initiatives based on business case, timelines, and impact

  • Connect technical concepts (e.g., A/B testing, data science) with commercial outcomes

  • Measure project inputs (labour/cost) and link to real-world results

  • Translate complex data into simple, actionable insights for senior leadership

  • Defend and present portfolio value to executive and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Business partnering with the executive leadership team and broader business on driving commercial outcomes

Candidate Profile

You are commercially minded, analytically sharp, and thrive in data-rich, fast-paced environments. With strong experience in commercial or analytics-focused roles, you bring a strong understanding of how data drives business performance and P&L outcomes. You’ve had hands-on experience managing or reporting on data and technology project portfolios, and you're confident navigating complex concepts like A/B testing, data engineering, and data science. Your ability to communicate effectively, especially with executive stakeholders, sets you apart, allowing you to translate complex insights into compelling stories that influence decision-making.
Proficient with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar, you understand the value of tracking project costs, time, and return on investment. You're comfortable in agile or scrum-style environments and bring a calm, structured presence to enterprise settings. A background in Retail, FMCG, or Logistics will be highly regarded, but your ability to drive value through clarity, focus, and commercial insight is what will make you stand out.

Culture & Benefits

The team operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where curiosity, accountability, and impact are highly valued. You’ll be working alongside driven and supportive colleagues who are passionate about using data to create real commercial outcomes. A strong and confident presence is important, as is the ability to listen, learn, and contribute meaningfully. If you’re someone who thrives on change, enjoys working across teams, and wants to be part of a function that’s genuinely shaping the future of the business, you’ll feel right at home here.
