Role Highlights:

As a Financial Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract, you will be hands-on with day-to-day finance operations, supporting month-end, and contributing to reporting. Reporting to our Senior Finance Manager, you will work closely with teams across the business to help drive the company’s financial performance.

 

Role Overview

 

Responsibilities

  • Support the Financial Control team with accounting, budgeting, forecasting, operational tasks, and ad-hoc projects
  • Manage daily cash transactions and processing, including bank reconciliations
  • Lead key accounting processes such as posting journals, reconciling loan books, preparing accruals and prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with trust accounting processes, including journal entries and month-end reconciliations
  • Prepare annual financial statements ensuring compliance with ANZ accounting standards
  • Coordinate and support external audits
  • Mentor AP/AR officer, providing day-to-day guidance and support
  • Handle compliance tasks including tax reporting, AFSL calculations, trust and APRA reporting
  • Drive improvements in accounting processes and enhance operational efficiency

 

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with 3–4 years’ relevant experience
  • Strong ability to prioritise tasks and manage stakeholders effectively
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across the business and with external stakeholders
  • Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, and Blackline is advantageous
  • Commercial experience in Financial Services or FinTech environments highly regarded
