Role Highlights:

This is a great opportunity for an analyst looking to step into a full finance function, working alongside the FP&A team to support day-to-day planning and reporting activities. The role will focus on creating, maintaining, and enhancing financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis. It’s a hands-on position that will provide exposure to strategic decision-making, financial planning processes, and cross-functional collaboration across the business.

Role Overview

Reporting to the FP&A Manager and working closely with the FP&A Analysts, this role is ideal for someone who loves working with data and Excel and is keen to build their commercial finance experience. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial models, supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles, and providing data-driven insights to help guide business decisions.

This is a great opportunity for a technically strong analyst with advanced Excel skills who wants to gain broader exposure to FP&A, business performance reporting, and commercial analysis in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning across the business.
  • Deliver accurate and insightful monthly reporting and variance analysis to help drive performance and decision-making.
  • Support the FP&A team by consolidating and validating financial data, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all reporting.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to translate complex financial data into meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Enhance and automate modelling tools and reporting processes to improve efficiency and data accuracy within the finance function.

Candidate Profile

  • Finance professional with strong analytical and commercial acumen.
  • Advanced Excel and Power Query skills, with proven ability to build, automate, and optimise complex financial models.
  • Ideally trained in a Big 4 or top-tier professional services environment with exposure to data-driven financial analysis and reporting.
  • Confident communicator who can translate numbers into clear business insights for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Proactive and curious mindset enjoys problem-solving, streamlining processes, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to see the bigger commercial picture.
