Role Highlights:
Take ownership of a critical payroll function within a well-established Real Estate Investment firm. Lead payroll operations, drive efficiencies, and play a key role in system optimisation, with a strong focus on SAP SuccessFactors.

Role Overview
Reporting into the Head of Finance, this Payroll Manager will take full ownership of the end-to-end payroll function across a national workforce. On a daily basis, you will oversee payroll processing, ensure accuracy and compliance, and manage escalations. Weekly, you will review payroll data, manage team workflows, and liaise with HR and finance stakeholders. On a monthly basis, you will lead reporting, reconciliations, and ensure alignment with financial close processes.


This is a high-impact leadership role where you will drive continuous improvement across payroll processes and systems, particularly within SAP SuccessFactors. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, improving payroll efficiency, and supporting the business through growth and transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership of payroll processing across a national workforce
• Lead, mentor, and develop a small payroll team
• Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll legislation, awards, and policies
• Manage and optimise payroll systems, with a strong focus on SAP SuccessFactors (essential)
• Oversee payroll reconciliations, reporting, and month-end processes
• Partner with HR and Finance to ensure accurate employee data and reporting
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Manage audits and respond to payroll-related queries and escalations

Candidate Profile

You are an experienced Payroll Manager with a strong track record of managing end-to-end payroll functions within complex organisations. You bring hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors (essential) and have a deep understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements. With proven leadership experience, you are confident managing teams and engaging with senior stakeholders across finance and HR. You are detail-oriented, process-driven, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can drive improvements and add strategic value.
