Job Description
Location: Glendenning, Western Sydney
Salary Package: $150k + Super + 15% Bonus
Role Highlights: End-to-end ownership of supply chain, leading supplier transformation, system rollouts and operational improvement initiatives.
Role Overview
This is not a “keep things ticking” role.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will take ownership of a supply chain that has grown without the structure to support it. You’ll lead a small team, including a long-tenured team member with deep business knowledge, and bring alignment, accountability and performance to the function.
Your first priority is clear. With over 150 suppliers and minimal formal agreements in place, you will lead supplier engagement, negotiation and contract implementation across both local and international partners (UK and Europe). Alongside this, you will drive improvements across forecasting, inventory and operational performance.
Over the next 12–24 months, you will lead key transformation initiatives including new order management and warehouse systems, as well as broader operational improvements focused on efficiency, scalability and control.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a 150+ supplier network and implement formal agreements
- Lead supplier negotiations across local and international markets
- Drive ethical sourcing and sustainability standards across suppliers
- Lead roll-out of new systems across order management and warehouse operations
- Improve forecasting, inventory control and supply planning
- Drive cost, quality and lead time improvements
- Lead and develop a small, experienced team
- Work closely with operations and warehouse teams to resolve issues and improve flow
Candidate Profile
You’re a commercially strong supply chain or procurement professional who knows how to step into a complex environment and take control. You’ve managed large supplier networks, led negotiations and implemented structure where it didn’t exist.
You bring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You’re comfortable leading projects, working across systems and using data to drive decisions. Exposure to ethical sourcing or sustainability frameworks will be highly regarded.
You’re also a leader. You can work with experienced team members, bring them on the journey and lift standards without creating friction.
Most importantly, you’re not afraid to get into the detail. You’ll walk the floor, speak with the warehouse team and solve problems where they occur.
