Role Overview
Reporting into senior tax leadership, this role will see you take ownership of a broad range of tax compliance obligations across corporate tax, GST, and FBT. On a regular basis, you will be responsible for preparing tax returns, conducting detailed analysis, and ensuring all reporting requirements are met accurately and on time. You will also work closely with external advisors and internal stakeholders to support ongoing tax matters.

Beyond compliance, you will contribute to advisory work by researching and preparing technical tax advice to support business decisions. You will play a key role in maintaining governance frameworks, identifying process improvements, and supporting the implementation of tax-related initiatives across the organisation.

Responsibilities
• Prepare and review corporate tax, GST, and FBT returns
• Conduct detailed tax research and draft technical advice
• Partner with internal stakeholders to provide tax insights and support decision-making
• Coordinate with external advisors on tax-related matters
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax legislation and reporting requirements
• Support and maintain tax governance frameworks and controls
• Assist with the implementation of tax initiatives and process improvements
• Monitor legislative changes and communicate impacts to the business
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of tax processes and systems
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and compliance standards

Candidate Profile
You are a detail-oriented and technically strong tax professional with experience across corporate tax and indirect taxes. You hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and ideally have commenced or completed your CA/CPA. Exposure to working within a large or complex organisation.

You are proactive, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines. With strong communication skills, you are confident engaging with stakeholders and presenting tax-related insights in a clear and practical way. A mindset focused on continuous improvement and efficiency will set you apart in this role.
