Role Overview

Reporting to the Sales Director, the Key Account Manager will take full ownership of a portfolio of strategic, high-value accounts. Monthly, you will conduct KPI reviews, lead Quarterly Business Reviews, and track account performance against commercial targets. Weekly, you will collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery, manage pipeline opportunities, and progress solution-based proposals. Daily, you will engage face-to-face with clients, provide strategic advice, resolve issues swiftly, and maintain compliance across all contracts and service agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of key accounts across pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device and chemosafety sectors, driving client satisfaction, retention, and commercial growth
  • Build and sustain influential relationships with senior stakeholders across all accounts
  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts
  • Lead strategic account planning and deliver commercially-driven insights that shape client outcomes
  • Conduct regular client engagement including face-to-face meetings, reviews, and on-site visits
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver solutions and uphold operational excellence
  • Maintain accurate account data, track performance metrics, and report on key outcomes
  • Proactively manage risk and capitalise on opportunities to maximise account performance and profitability

Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years of proven experience managing complex B2B key accounts within pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, manufacturing, scientific, laboratory, packaging, or chemosafety industries
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate the compliance-driven, highly regulated nature of these industries and tailor solutions accordingly
  • Strong track record of balancing account management with business development to drive measurable retention and growth outcomes
  • Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills with senior and executive-level stakeholders
  • Commercially astute with a sharp ability to identify opportunities, develop strategic solutions, and close
  • Highly motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and an unwavering focus on delivering results
