Job Description
Location: Sydney CBD, NSW
Salary: $140k - $150k + Super + Completion Bonus
Role Highlights:
This is a career-defining opportunity to join a fast-evolving FMCG business undergoing significant transformation. The role offers the opportunity for you to lead the finance ERP implementation, transfer pricing redesign and shared services transition. This highly visible project role offers exposure to global stakeholders and the opportunity to leave a lasting impact on the future operating model of the organisation.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this newly created Project Finance Controller role will support the organisation's transition from SAP to Microsoft Dynamics 365 while simultaneously managing critical finance transformation initiatives. Initially, your focus will be on understanding current business processes, mapping future-state requirements and identifying key dependencies across finance, tax, banking, transfer pricing and shared service functions. As the project progresses, you will move through testing, training, and go-live activities.
Working in collaboration with international stakeholders, you will act as the key bridge between technical implementation teams and business stakeholders, ensuring finance requirements are translated into practical and sustainable outcomes.
Responsibilities
• Lead the finance workstream across the SAP to Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation
• Partner with external consultants and global finance stakeholders throughout design, testing and deployment phases
• Review and redesign finance processes to support future-state operations
• Support transfer pricing restructuring initiatives involving international headquarters and local entities
• Assist with legal entity restructuring and shared services transition activities
• Work closely with finance, tax, treasury and shared service stakeholders across multiple regions
• Support hypercare and post go-live stabilisation activities
• Ensure finance controls, reporting requirements and governance frameworks are incorporated into future-state processes
• Act as the key liaison between finance users and technical implementation teams
Candidate Profile
You are a finance transformation professional with experience supporting or leading ERP implementations within a complex business environment. Ideally, you have worked within FMCG, consumer goods, manufacturing or similarly process-driven organisations where shared services, transfer pricing and multinational reporting structures are common. You possess strong finance controllership fundamentals with exposure to tax, treasury and operational finance processes. Experience working alongside global stakeholders and implementation partners will be highly regarded. Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 is advantageous but not essential. Most importantly, you are a strong communicator who can translate business requirements into practical solutions and confidently navigate a complex transformation environment.
Company, Culture & Benefits
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative global organisation during a period of significant change and transformation. You will work with senior finance leaders across multiple regions while contributing to a project that will shape the future of the finance function. The business offers a high level of exposure, autonomy and stakeholder engagement, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their transformation experience within an international environment.
• Play a leading role in a high-profile SAP to D365 transformation program
• Strong exposure to senior leadership and cross-regional finance teams
• High-impact role with real ownership across a business-critical project
