Role Highlights:

Our client is a well-established manufacturing business with operations across New South Wales. They are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee multiple production facilities, strengthen operational performance and build leadership capability across the business.

This is a genuine leadership opportunity where you'll influence strategy while remaining close to the operation, partnering with senior leaders to improve productivity, safety, quality and customer outcomes.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the General Manager, you will provide operational leadership across several manufacturing facilities, ensuring production, quality, safety and service objectives are achieved. You'll coach site leadership teams, establish consistent operational standards and identify opportunities to improve performance across the network.

You'll also play a key role in business improvement initiatives, supporting capital investment, driving operational efficiencies and developing a high-performing culture. Working closely with engineering, supply chain and commercial teams, you'll ensure operational decisions align with broader business objectives while creating an environment focused on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing operations across multiple production facilities.
  • Coach and develop site leadership teams.
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Champion workplace health, safety and compliance.
  • Manage operational budgets and financial performance.
  • Improve productivity, equipment reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Support capital investment and operational improvement projects.
  • Develop workforce capability through coaching and succession planning.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve customer service and operational performance.
  • Monitor key operational KPIs and implement improvement strategies.

Candidate Profile

You are an experienced manufacturing leader who enjoys improving operations and developing people. You have successfully led manufacturing teams through change, understand commercial drivers and are confident influencing stakeholders across all levels of the business.

  • Extensive manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Experience leading large and multiple operational teams or sites.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to coach and develop leaders.
  • Engineering, Manufacturing or Operations qualifications are advantageous.
  • Experience managing capital improvement projects.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
