Role Overview

Reo Group is partnering with a well-regarded ASX-listed business to recruit a Senior In-House Lawyer into its in-house legal function. Reporting to the General Manager of Legal, you will take responsibility for a broad range of commercial and corporate matters, working closely with internal stakeholders across the business and contributing to the day-to-day running of a lean and high-performing legal team.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of corporate and commercial matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate a variety of contracts, agreements and legal documents.
• Advise on Australian Consumer Law and Corporations Act matters as they arise across the business.
• Support the General Manager of Legal and broader team on sensitive and significant legal matters.
• Liaise with and manage external counsel where required.
• Contribute to the smooth running of the legal function and provide pragmatic, business-focused advice to internal stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

• Already operating at a senior in-house level, with strong generalist commercial and corporate experience.
• Solid grounding in contract law, Australian Consumer Law, and Corporations Act matters.
• Experience across IT, sponsorships, confidentiality deeds or similar commercial agreements is valued.
• Confident and credible communicator, comfortable engaging with senior management and key executives.
• A collaborative, pragmatic approach with a genuine interest in being a trusted part of a small team.
• Minimum five years PQE; in-house experience preferred, though strong private practice candidates will be considered.
