The organisation

This established business has a national and international client base. They provide significant bespoke solutions to their customers and deliver on these projects through to execution stage. The business also offers on going maintenance and support to their clients. Due to on going growth and successfully winning a pipeline of major projects, they are now looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities

You will report to the Head of Finance and will be responsible for management accounting and reporting for the project division of their business. This is a high-profile role and will require you to work very closely with the senior leaders within the business. This is a progressive business and your role is likely to evolve over time, however core duties include:

• Preparing monthly management reports and completing month end procedures
• Budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting
• Variance analysis
• Cash flow and project reporting
• Partner with operations to provide insights & decision support to improve performance
• Adhere to appropriate IFRS guidelines
• Contribute to on-going process improvement and internal projects

Candidate Profile

You’ll ideally be a CA or CPA qualified finance professional (or equivalent) with experience as a Management Accountant. You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to build relationships and credibility with key business leaders. You’ll be commercially astute with a process improvement and a solution focused approach. Experience supporting the roll out of BI tools would be advantageous. Project experience is not essential, but you must have experience with budgeting, and reforecasting, preferably in an environment with a longer lead in time.
