Long term contract opportunity to join a reputable fashion brand with great presence in ANZ. As part of the stable Finance team reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a great opportunity for someone with experience in Tax and treasury systems.
Role Overview
Reporting into the Finance Director, the individual in this role will work closely with the wider Finance team to ensure the tax and treasury deliverables adhere to set timeframes and assure the accuracy of the organisations key regulatory and compliance requirements. This role is critical to the success of the Tax and Treasury function and requires experience in preparing a variety of taxation lodgements as well as working knowledge of a treasury function and requires experience in preparing a variety of taxation lodgements as well as working knowledge of a treasury function.
This role will require you to manage all tax related matters including Annual Taxation preparation, BAS, FBT and preparation of the annual employee share scheme lodgement with the ATO.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing the reconciliation of the BAS and lodgement with ATO
- To review and lodgement of the monthly and annual payroll tax returns
- Preparing of FBT return, including analysis of entertainment, property benefit, expense payment benefits and residual benefits.
- Preparation of the company tax return, including PCG analysis, Reportable tax position schedule and liaise with external advisers,
- Maintenance of the tax fixed asset register, including software development pool and capital works.
- Liaising with transfer pricing adviser for the preparation of the transfer pricing documentation.
- Liaising with the R&D adviser and coordinate the provision of information for preparation of R&D tax incentive claim.
- Preparation of annual employee share scheme statements for lodgement with the ATO.
- Preparation and lodgement of annual withholding tax on interest and royalty paid to non-resident.
- Liaising with regulators such as the ATO, Office of State Revenue, and financial institutions as required.
Candidate Profile
You are proactive and can work independently while building a rapport with other stakeholders, namely the other teams in Finance, external advisors and the ATO in order to ensure the accuracy of all tax related matters within the organisation.
You will need to be qualified CA/CPA with extensive knowledge of the Australian Taxation standards, transfer pricing and will need to be able to work within tight deadlines.
