Role Overview
Reporting to the local CFO for ANZ, this Compliance Manager will ensure that all compliance needs are met in line with companies head office obligations and requirements, including statutory requirements, policies and procedures. You will manage through the resolution of any disputes related to the compliance issues providing clarity and certainly around the framework. You will be the central interface and manage the relationships between internal and external stakeholders, ultimately being the face of all things compliance, risk and legal for the business. In addition, this person will ensure the effective management of contractual risks in order to facilitate successful business outcomes and ensure business protection.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfil duties assigned to J-SOX auditor as requested by SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission)
  • Ensure that Company Policies reflect the J-SOX standards required for Internal Control.
  • Ensure that audits are performed & corrective action taken as required
  • Complete the SEC annual compliance survey
  • Ensure SEC requests for compliance month are carried out.
  • Run all education sessions for staff during Compliance Month and as required to ensure staff are trained and awareness is driven through the company at all levels
  • Review the Risk Matrix/Register bi annually, after consultation with internal parties
  • Run BCP simulations each year to ensure the BCP is a workable document and ensuring mitigation of any risks. Report results to SEC.
  • Report to company EBM on compliance issues and activities and any regulatory changes that impact the business
  • Monitor SEC Regulations to ensure company remains compliant
  • Oversee company OH&S committee and oversee compliance with OHS regulations
  • Ensure Privacy Policies are kept current and all related locations are updated
  • Oversea companies insurance program
  • Oversee and legal agreements, claims and disputes including dealing with external legal partners
  • Management of any environmental and ISO quality related compliance

 

Candidate Profile
Tertiary qualified in a business, legal or commercial discipline, this person will ideally have relevant experience working across a large multinational business and understands the complexity of jsox compliance. Your experience in managing compliance programmes within a complex infrastructure environment will be advantageous in this role- a strong eye for detail is a must. A developed understanding of contractual governance, legal implications, OH&S compliance and insurance will be highly regarded. The ability to exercise influence within set frameworks will set you up for success. Polished in both oral and written communication, you are confident in dealing with and delivering reports to Board of Directors and C suite while also partnering downstream to a variety of stakeholders.
