Role Highlights
This is your chance to take ownership of a communications function that is central to influence and change at a national level. Reporting to the Director of Policy, Communications and Strategic Engagement, you will design and deliver the strategies that ensure the organisation is seen, heard, and trusted by its most important audiences. You will lead projects end to end, manage a small team, and have the opportunity to elevate a cause that matters.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the communications strategy that drives visibility and influence
  • Lead major projects and campaigns, managing them from concept through to delivery
  • Build a strong media profile and manage multi-channel digital communications
  • Shape messaging that resonates with government, industry, and community audiences
  • Mentor and support team members, creating a collaborative and creative culture
  • Contribute to organisational strategy, planning, and reporting

Candidate Profile
You are a communications professional who thrives on delivering strategy, leading projects, and creating impact. You bring credibility, adaptability, and the confidence to engage at all levels, from government stakeholders to community partners.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Strong experience in communications, corporate affairs, or strategic engagement
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives at once
  • A record of building and delivering communications strategies that achieve results
  • Excellent writing, messaging, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to lead and support others, with a collaborative leadership style
  • A passion for purpose-driven work and a values-led approach
