Role Highlights
Own end-to-end FP&A and trade spend governance across ANZ; Lead TPM system implementation; Front-row seat on a multi-billion dollar growth journey.

Role Overview
Reporting to an experienced Commercial Finance Director, the FP&A Manager is a pivotal role sitting at the intersection of commercial performance, financial governance, and business partnership across the ANZ business.

This is not a steady-state reporting role. The organisation is actively rebuilding its FP&A function and commercial reporting frameworks to support ambitious growth plans, and this role is central to making that happen. You will define what great looks like, bring structure where it currently doesn't exist, and shift the function's balance from number production to commercial insight. You will own the full FP&A cycle, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, rolling forecasts, and budgeting, while partnering daily with Sales, Marketing, Category and Supply Chain to translate complex financial data into clear, decision-ready insights. You will act as Finance Lead in S&OP forums, identify performance hotspots early, and support the leadership team with multi-year scenario modelling that keeps the business on track toward a high target revenue increase goal.

Beyond FP&A, you will take full custodianship of trade spend governance across ANZ, owning accrual management, driving ROI discipline, and playing a leading role in the implementation of a Trade Promotion Management (TPM) system that will transform how trade investment is tracked and optimised. You will lead a team of four and be a trusted commercial partner to senior stakeholders. This is a high-visibility role with a genuine pathway into senior commercial finance leadership for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • FP&A Ownership: Lead end-to-end forecasting and planning cycles, including monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, budgets and rolling forecasts. Ensure reporting is clear, automated and forward-looking.
  • Trade Spend Governance: Act as custodian of the trade spend framework across ANZ - owning accrual management, ROI analysis, financial controls, and compliance. Drive process standardisation and lead the upcoming TPM system implementation.
  • Commercial Partnering: Partner daily with Sales, Marketing, Category and Supply Chain to contextualise performance, identify drivers and risks, and translate financial complexity into actionable commercial insights.
  • S&OP Leadership: Act as Finance Lead in Demand Review and S&OP forums. Identify performance hotspots early and work cross-functionally to develop and execute corrective actions.
  • Financial Modelling: Build and maintain multi-year financial models to support volume, pricing, mix and margin decisions. Provide scenario analysis and decision support aligned to the $3bn growth plan.
  • Market & Competitor Intelligence: Synthesise external market signals, competitor moves and category dynamics into concise, decision-ready insights for senior leadership and commercial teams.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and develop a team of four FP&A professionals. Set clear standards for commercial rigour, insight quality and delivery discipline.
  • Process Improvement & Automation: Continuously improve FP&A processes to reduce manual effort. Drive automation in reporting and forecasting using SAP S4 Hana, IBM TM1, Power BI and Excel.

Candidate Profile
The role requires a CA/CPA/CIMA qualified finance professional with 5 – 10 years of experience in FP&A or commercial finance roles, ideally within FMCG or a similarly complex commercial environment. This is not a first step into FP&A, the successful candidate will be deeply comfortable with the cadence, own their deadlines, and know what good reporting and forecasting looks like.

The role requires strong financial modelling capability, sharp analytical thinking, and the confidence to present clearly and challenge constructively with senior stakeholders including Head of Sales, Marketing and Finance Leadership. You are equally comfortable building a complex multi-year model in Excel as you are presenting the story behind the numbers to the leadership team.
You thrive in environments that are not yet perfect. You see ambiguity as opportunity, have a genuine bias for improvement, and leave processes, systems and teams better than you found them.

Culture & Benefits
This organisation is purpose-driven and commercially ambitious, home to iconic Australian brands with a clear strategic plan to grow by $1bn in the next 5 years. ANZ sits at the heart of that growth story. The culture values commercial rigour, insight-driven decision-making, and genuine partnership between finance and the business.

This role offers real ownership, the chance to shape how FP&A operates inside a high-profile FMCG at a pivotal moment of transformation. You will work closely with a newly appointed Commercial Finance Director who has a clear mandate to build a best-in-class function, which means your contribution will be visible and valued from day one.

For the right candidate, this is a genuine career accelerator, with a clear pathway into Customer Finance Director, Category Finance Director, Supply Chain Finance Director or International FP&A Director roles as the business scales.
