Job Description

Role Overview

This role sits within a central governance function and is focused on building a clear and structured understanding of how the organisation operates across supply chain, sales, service and operations. On a daily basis, you will engage with stakeholders, facilitate workshops and document processes, ensuring there is clarity and consistency across how the business operates. You will take ownership of capability mapping and process modelling, working across multiple functions to build a complete and accurate view of current state operations.

On a weekly basis, you will drive alignment across business units, working closely with senior stakeholders to refine future state processes and ensure consistency in approach. You will play a key role in bridging gaps between teams, identifying inefficiencies and driving practical improvements. In parallel, you will contribute to ERP strategy activities, supporting requirements definition and ensuring the organisation is well positioned for vendor engagement and selection.

Over time, this role will evolve into a key contributor to the ERP program, supporting delivery, validating requirements and ensuring the solution aligns to real operational needs. You will be instrumental in ensuring the ERP is implemented on a strong, scalable foundation, while continuing to drive continuous improvement across the organisation and embedding a long term process excellence capability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end to end capability mapping and process documentation across core business functions
  • Facilitate workshops to capture current state processes and define future state improvements
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across operations, supply chain and commercial functions
  • Translate business needs into structured requirements to support ERP decision making
  • Contribute to ERP strategy including vendor evaluation and selection activities
  • Drive process standardisation and embed consistent frameworks across the organisation
  • Work closely with internal technology teams and external partners to align business and system outcomes
  • Develop clear documentation including process maps, capability models and requirements artefacts
  • Identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the business
  • Support stakeholder alignment and ensure adoption of new processes and frameworks

Candidate Profile

You are a classically trained, business facing Business Analyst with proven experience operating within complex enterprise environments. You bring strong exposure to ERP transformation programs and understand how to support strategy, requirements gathering and early phase activities such as vendor selection. Your strength lies in process and capability mapping, with the ability to clearly document and improve how organisations operate at a practical level.

You have a strong track record working across operationally complex environments, ideally within industries such as retail, distribution, healthcare or similarly inventory driven businesses. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, engaging with multiple stakeholders and building a clear picture of how a business functions across different service lines. Your approach is pragmatic and commercially minded, with a focus on delivering outcomes rather than producing documentation for its own sake.

Your communication and stakeholder engagement skills are a key differentiator, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across a broad, non technical business. You are confident facilitating workshops, challenging assumptions and guiding conversations toward meaningful outcomes. Experience working alongside external advisory partners during transformation programs will be highly regarded, as will your ability to operate independently within a lean, high impact environment.

Company, Culture & Benefits

This organisation is a well established national provider operating across a highly distributed network of locations, delivering essential products and services into critical sectors. The environment is fast paced, collaborative and focused on outcomes, with a strong emphasis on ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.

  • High impact role with direct exposure to executive stakeholders
  • 12 month FTC with strong opportunity for extension or conversion to permanent.
  • Be part of shaping how a complex organisation operates at scale
