Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role is responsible for delivering accurate and insightful financial reporting across multiple service lines. Every month, you will prepare management reports, analyse variances, and produce detailed P&Ls across various programs. You will also take ownership of the month-end process, including reconciliations, journals, and balance sheet integrity, while supporting compliance and audit requirements.
In addition, you will act as a trusted business partner to operational leaders, providing commercial insights to support decision-making and performance improvement. This role will also see you take the lead on grant reporting and acquittals, while playing a key role in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting to support growth and service delivery initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and detailed program-level reporting
• Develop and maintain service line P&Ls across multiple funding streams
• Partner with operational teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
• Manage end-to-end month-end close processes, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
• Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks
• Oversee grant reporting and acquittals, ensuring alignment with funding requirements
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling activities
• Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, particularly MS Dynamics Business Central
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools using Excel and BI platforms
• Manage banking processes, statutory reporting, and payment cycles
